Earthy and Modern Leo Carrillo Ranch Wedding

I was so excited for Kristen + Nick’s wedding day, these two are such kind and sweet souls! We met earlier last year for their engagement photos in Orange County, and I immediately adored them. They have such gentle souls and I could tell right away that they had so much love for each other. Kristen felt like an old friend right off the bat!
They began the day with an intimate first look at the Carlsbad Cliffs. It was a gloomy morning which always brings a romantic feel. The immediate families watched from afar as Kristen and Nick saw each other for the first time on the wedding day and joyfully embraced.
Ivory and Stone helped their design dreams come to life at Leo Carrillo Ranch. I always love working with Robyn and her team, they are so efficient and run a tight ship which is ideal for a smooth wedding day. Robyn’s design for this wedding was honestly one of my favorites of the year. I love the earthy textures and clean modern lines that she chose! It complemented this historic ranch property so well.
My absolute favorite space was the ceremony area. The lanterns and custom floral installation created a whimsical backdrop for their vows. There were so many hand-crafted details throughout the space that made the day feel so unique. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to bring their beloved pup with them, so naturally, they had to print her face on the drink stirrers for their craft cocktails! She also made an appearance as a prop in the VW bus photobooth :)
This day was full of so much joy, laughter, and friendship. Their guests sipped cocktails, played cornhole on the lawn, and relaxed in their lovely lounge area during the cocktail hour. Kristen + Nick received a warm welcome into their reception as guests were seated in front of stunning tablescapes. There were tearful speeches, hugs from loved ones, and endless dance parties!
