Spiritual Tumbleweed Sanctuary Wedding in Joshua Tree | Ciera + Ryan
Ciera + Ryan’s wedding at Tumbleweed Sanctuary in Joshua Tree was one of those days that make you reflect on your career and think, HOLY COW this is why I became a wedding photographer. The day was SO perfect, it was even featured in Green Wedding Shoes!
I arrived at Ciera’s sweet Airbnb to find her surrounded by her besties, already looking like a million bucks. She snuck off into one of the bedrooms so she could have a moment alone to read a sweet note from Ryan. Before she began, she pulled a tarot card from her deck, which said “New Beginnings”. These two are so connected spiritually, and this card represented this new step in their lives together so perfectly.
Ryan and his groomsmen used to play in a band together, so they decided to have a little jam session at the venue to relax before the ceremony. Mid-session, we hid Ryan and brought Ciera out to jam with the boys. This was definitely the most memorable part of the day!
Ciera + Ryan chose the Tumbleweed Sanctuary to say their vows and selected the stone labyrinth as the setting for their ceremony. “Our inspiration for our big day was showcasing the serenity, and beauty that Joshua Tree has to offer. We chose to get married in the high desert, because it’s the first place we go when we want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, and reconnect with one another. To emphasize our connection on the big day, we had an unplugged ceremony. This was extremely important to us, as we wanted to make sure that we, as well as our guests, remained present.”
The day was filled with so many happy tears and unforgettable moments. I felt so connected to these two from the moment I met them, and it was such a blessing to get to know their closest family and friends. I could not be more thankful for the unbelievable team who helped make this day everything Ciera + Ryan dreamed of! Cheers to these beautiful souls!
