Beachside Navy Wedding - Coronado, CA | Elizabeth + Troy
Navy weddings in San Diego always involve sword arches, whiskey, incredible uniforms, and a TON of freaking fun.
The day began in downtown San Diego in a high-rise hotel. Elizabeth’s mom was zipping her up into her stunning dress, while Troy was buttoning his jacket down the hall. We tucked Elizabeth away and snuck Troy onto the balcony, overlooking the cityscape. She walked through the double doors, snuck up behind him, and tapped him on the shoulder. The excitement in his eyes was priceless.
We traveled down to Coronado where Elizabeth and Troy said I-do in front of their closest friends and family. The storm clouds faded just in time, and the two had their first kiss as husband and wife overlooking the ocean.
Their reception took place at probably one of the raddest bars I’ve ever seen on the Naval Base. Old beer mugs and model airplanes hang from the ceiling and tons of Navy memorabilia cover the walls. After dinner, the party started, and Troy kicked it off by revealing his FREAKING AWESOME custom shirt (his groomsmen were matching of course).
The night ended with Troy slicing open the first donut with his sword (yep not making this up) and we all left full of sugar and happiness.
